LOCATIONS

HANDLEBAR, GERMAN PAVILION, and SEVEN GRAND are the venues of the joint German presentation at SXSW 2020 and will host carefully curated networking events, presentations, roundtables as well as interdisciplinary performances and concerts from March 13th until March 18th, 2020.

Our locations are open to all SXSW delegates although capacity restrictions may apply.

GERMAN PAVILION at AUSTIN CONVENTION CENTER Hall 3, 4th Street Entrance, Booth #1021

GERMAN PAVILION is the joint trade show stand for German exhibitors during SXSW. Located in the middle of the Austin Convention Center, this much-noticed stand provides the perfect opportunity to present German innovations to a larger audience. Companies from the culture and creative industries as well as artists and other creative folks present themselves to tens of thousands of professionals in attendance.

german.innovation, consisting of representatives of the cities of Hamburg and Munich, the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, and Hesse, as well as partners from business and science, are responsible for the event “german.innovation at GERMAN HAUS”. The venue this year is the HandleBar in Austin, TX. “german.innovation at GERMAN HAUS” is part of this year’s overall appearance “Germany at SXSW” and gives insights into Germany as an innovative business and creative location, and enables German startups, companies and scientists to present themselves internationally at SXSW 2020, network more closely and implement own formats.
